Commitment to Impartiality
Halal Watch, its President, Managers, Staff and others involved in the certification of persons fully understand the importance of impartiality in undertaking its product certification activities.
Halal Watch is fully committed to conducting all certification activities with the highest degree of impartiality, independence, objectivity, and integrity.
We understand that impartiality is fundamental to maintaining confidence in our Halal certification decisions. Top management takes ultimate responsibility for ensuring impartiality and has established processes to identify, analyze, document, and continually manage risks to impartiality arising from our activities, relationships, or external pressures.
How independence is protected

01Independent Third-Party Entity
We do not engage in the design, manufacture, installation, distribution, maintenance, or consultancy services for products, processes, or systems that we certify.
02No Consultancy Services
We do not provide management system consultancy, internal auditing services, or any other services to clients that could compromise the objectivity of our certification decisions.
03Evidence-Based Decisions
Certification decisions are based solely on objective evidence of conformity to halal requirements and are not influenced by any commercial, financial, or other pressures.
04Conflict of Interest Declarations
All personnel, including auditors, decision-makers, and committee members, are required to declare any potential conflicts of interest and are subject to strict confidentiality obligations.
05Impartiality Committee
We have established an Impartiality Committee to oversee and advise on matters affecting impartiality in all certification activities.
06Regular Risk Reviews
Risks to impartiality are regularly reviewed, and appropriate actions are taken to eliminate or minimize them. We will not continue services where unacceptable risks remain.
07Non-Discriminatory Application
We apply our certification services in a non-discriminatory manner to all applicants, without favoritism or bias.
This commitment applies to all certification activities related to Halal products, services, and systems.
