Commitment to Impartiality
Halal Watch World, its President, Managers, Staff and others involved in the certification of persons fully understand the importance of impartiality in undertaking its product certification activities.
Halal Watch World is fully committed to conducting all certification activities with the highest degree of impartiality, independence, objectivity, and integrity.
We understand that impartiality is fundamental to maintaining confidence in our Halal certification decisions. Top management takes ultimate responsibility for ensuring impartiality and has established processes to identify, analyze, document, and continually manage risks to impartiality arising from our activities, relationships, or external pressures.
Safeguarding Impartiality
- We operate as an independent third-party entity and do not engage in the design, manufacture, installation, distribution, maintenance, or consultancy services for products, processes, or systems that we certify, where such involvement could create a conflict of interest.
- We do not provide management system consultancy, internal auditing services, or any other services to clients that could compromise the objectivity of our certification decisions.
- Certification decisions are based solely on objective evidence of conformity to Halal requirements and are not influenced by any commercial, financial, or other pressures.
- All personnel, including auditors, decision-makers, and committee members, are required to declare any potential conflicts of interest and are subject to strict confidentiality and impartiality obligations.
- We have established an Impartiality Committee to oversee and advise on matters affecting impartiality.
- Risks to impartiality are regularly reviewed, and appropriate actions are taken to eliminate or minimize them to an acceptable level. We will not offer or continue certification services where unacceptable risks to impartiality remain.
- We apply our certification services in a non-discriminatory manner to all applicants, without favoritism or bias.
