Imam Mansoor Rafiq Umar

CEO & President

B.A. graduate of the Darun Na’im Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies in South Africa. He has studied under various scholars of theology and Islamic legal theory, such as Mln Taha Karaan, and Sheikh Mokhtar Magroui. He is the chaplain Imam for the university at Albany (SUNY Albany). He has also authored the Halal Integrity Protection Standards (HIPS) for the United States Department of Halal Standards.

 

    Moulana Tameem Allie

    Client Success & Review Manager

    Tameem Allie holds an ‘Aalim degree and a BA Honors in Theological Studies from the University of the Western Cape. With expertise in Islamic sciences and Halal vetting, he has five years of experience at Halal Watch World, including three as an associate and two in a managerial role. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Finance, aiming to apply his Halal expertise in the financial sector.

    BSc. graduate in Engineering from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and graduate in Arabic and Islamic Sciences from the Darun Na’im Institute, South Africa.

    Senior software developer, holds an Imaamat and Higher Islamic Studies degree from DUAI and a BA Honours in Theology from the University of the Western Cape. He serves on Halal Watch World’s Shurah Committee and develops software.

    Amrullah Akadhinta is an Islamic educator and da’i based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He studied at Ma’had Al-Ilmi Yogyakarta and continues to teach there, focusing on spreading authentic Islamic knowledge.
    He also holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Gadjah Mada University, blending a strong foundation in both religious and secular education.

    Abdullah Fredericks, a BSc Biotechnology graduate from the University of the Western Cape, is a Senior Microbiologist with expertise in food safety, environmental analysis, and lab quality management. Skilled in ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards, preservative testing, and microbiological lab operations, he is dedicated, detail-oriented, and passionate about ensuring food quality and safety
